My name is Shea and I’m very excited to get to learn with you over the next week.
If you’re like me, you probably have lots of things you want to do at DPL, but I’ll also be kind of be checking email for my day job, parenting, doing laundry, and taking care of the million other things in my life that haven’t stopped. It’s… a lot. For that reason, I wanted to make sure this workshop can be done asynchronously and to spread it over the week. If at any point you need to take a break or back away from the work, please do so without guilt.
Here’s how to participate in The Imitation Game:
- Watch this video. This will frame some of the key concepts of ed tech marketing and critique that you will use later.
- Read The Imitation Game - How To Play. These are the instructions for the game in which we apply the concepts from the video.
- Use The Imitation Game - Play. This is where we’ll be making accusations, defenses, and voting.
- When the game is done, we’ll use The Imitation Game - Reflections to write a short reflection about our experience.
That’s it. Give yourself permission to have fun, be outrageous, and improvise. If you have any questions, email me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
